It was a beautiful day to be at the Grand Canyon! Spent a lot of time here as we took shuttle busses to different lookouts. It was great!
Roger was loving it and making everybody nervous as he got closer and closer to the edge
Great time with family!

2 peas in a pod!
This picture of Matt and the boys is not as scary as it looks. There is a ledge behind us that is about 10 feet down
Connor was braver than Matt as there was no ledge behind this one. It was just a sheer dropoff.

Vacation Part 2
We left Texas after spending some time with our friends the Langes and made our way to Arizona. We broke up the trip with a stay in New Mexico.
This was a cool storm in Texas that was kicking up a lot of red dirt
The kids wore off some energy by climbing some rocks at a rest stop
Finally made it to Williams, AZ
The kids were so excited to see their cousins and Jack got to ride a zip line with Connor
Vacation - Part 1
We started our trip on Sunday evening and made it to Omaha and then drove the rest on Monday.
It was Texas in the summer so it was hot! The kids cooled off with some water
We visited the Fixer Upper's bed and breakfast and had some cupcakes at a nearby shop

Ava's "Kindergarten Graduation"
Our school technically doesn't have a kindergarten graduation, but thanks to my wonderful family, we celebrated anyway. They got her a cap and tassel and gave cards and gifts. We all went to eat and get ice cream. I really am so thankful for my family who loves us and our children and wanted this to be special. Ava got her very own Princess Bible that she read the whole way home, and she bought a Sheriff Callie dress and microphone and a big purple ball with her graduation money. What a fun and special time! Now bring on summer!!
End of School Busyness
Well so many things have happened in the rest of May! It's one of my favorite times of year. The weather is nicer, the end of school and looking forward to summer, and this year, all of the end of school year fun things we were able to be a part of!
Jack had his cello concert and did a great job! This sort of fell in our lap, and we are grateful. I am looking forward to more of this since we loved his teacher and he did a great job.
The end of Kids 4 Truth was great! The kids did a wonderful job. We had a fun bunch this year and really enjoyed it. Jack and Ava both got the gold award for perfect attendance and for the amount of points theu earned. (They pretty much had to be there since we were - ha - but I don't think they would have missed it anyway! They really loved it.)
School awards: Ava got the Penmanship award, and they both got Scripture Memory and the Citizenship Awards. I was especially proud of that for not only knowing the Bible but for exhibiting Christian character.

Here's my latest bulletin board. I was just proud that I taught myself how to do tissue paper flowers!

Our school was given some new soccer nets and goals, so here are the kids with the CEO of Volk, the company who donated them.
