Ava's First Solo

Last Sunday, Ava sang her first solo in church.  She was nervous, but she was determined that she was going to do it.  She did a great job singing As the Deer.  Here is a video of her singing.  I was sitting too close to the piano when I took the video, so you will have to listen closely.

Missions conference 2018

We had another good one this year and always meet people who really impact us! One specific example was Marnie Krause going to Cameroon. She talked to the kids in Jr. Church and told them about the kids in Cameroon who play with leaves and sticks because they don't have toys.  This really spoke to Jack, and he offered a lot of his toys we had just gone through to donate. Unfortunately, she couldn't take the actual toys, so we gave money from Jack to buy toys for the kids there.  We were touched, he was touched, and she was also touched. She wrote him a nice note saying she would send him a note from Cameroon when she was able to buy toys with that money. She will be starting language school soon, so maybe in a year or so, she will be there. We also met other missionaries, both young and more seasoned, who are answering God's call on their lives. What a blessing! It's nice to keep up with some on Facebook, so we can follow their ministry. Here are all the men singing on the last night.

Old pictures of the kids that I just love to look at.
