And now.....SUMMER!

Hardly a day passes that Ava doesn't bring me new dandelions.  If love can be measured in that way, I am pretty loved. I love her so much.

My favorite view - it's nice to see it without the snow!

Nightstand Project

We took rough wood nightstands for $35 each at Ikea, painted them, added trim, tops, and new drawer pulls, and then distressed the tops a bit. To buy nightstands like these would cost hundreds of dollars. These cost us total $85 since we had mostly of the supplies. Fun, cheap, and I love them! Matt has done it again.

My cards seemed extra special this year.

Mother's Day Weekend! Best family ever!

I don't know how I could feel any more loved. Matt and Jack and Ava are my life, and every day is a gift to be able to love them and be with them. We went to the MN Zoo and then met my parents at Red Lobster, one of my favorites! And then church on Sunday and dinner out with who we call our church parents, the Hoffmans. Wish I would have taken pictures with the parents! But we had a good time, and I'm so thankful for my mom and other mom-like people in my life!

Kids - Jack teaching Ava to ride her bike, last day of school! And fireproof jammies

I got the kids new summer jammies and Ava reading the tag said "Hey these jammies are fireproof!" I guess the tag said flame resistant.  Ha

Celebrating the last day of school

Celebrating at the pool!

We also finished Kids 4 Truth with Jack and Ava both having perfect attendance and getting a gold pin.  Jack also earned the most points this year. He has one more year to go as a Defender, and Ava will be advancing to a Detective next year from a Developer this year. We celebrated with bowling and pizza with all of the kids
It was a great night! For some reason, I didn't get pictures. I must have been too busy having fun and helping with awards. Here are some pictures of a field trip we took to the children's museum with some friends of ours.

A Day with the Andersons

Friends of ours from Berean met us in Mankato and we had a great time catching up with them and also exploring Minneopa Falls there. It was a beautiful day perfect for exploring a little!

Oliver's new walking shoes!

My parents have always bought the first pair of walking shoes for the grandkids, and it was fun to see Oliver get his first pair. He was a little unsure, but before long just took off much more confidently. It was fun to be a part of this since we missed his actual birthday and happened to be in town this day .
