Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas!  One of the best we've had I think but I probably say that every year.  We had such a great time together and with our families.  And as it should be, I didn't get as many pictures as I could have because we were too busy enjoying it.  But here's a few.

Christmas Sunday

Jack's haul from our house.

Ava and her fun stuff

Matt and I do a big one that we usually pick out ourselves and then we try to surprise each other with some smaller gifts.  He got a North Face sweatshirt and hat.

And I got a Pioneer Woman double drink dispenser.  I love it!

Grandaddy reading the Christmas story.

Ava's book "Ava and the Fairies" with herself as a character.

Jack's super cool Superman sweatshirt
The kids playing with their Legos.

I got a couple of new wall hangings.

The kids got some gifts, a wallet and necklace, from our family in Kentucky.

Just a random picture of Ava and me

More Christmas Doings!

It's all a blur!  So here's a few fun things we've been up to.  Christmas lights and music!  A house in town does this so we stopped for a little while one night.

Jack was a shepherd along with another little girl at church.  They did a great job on their reading!
At Macy's.  I liked this one, and I love these two!
 Christmas Sunday!
More from Macy's holiday display. Jack hamming it up.

Caroling church activity to see some of our shut ins.  What a blessing!

Christmas Doings

We had a great day last weekend doing Christmasy things!! First, we went to our good friend Judy's Cookie Day that she puts on every year.  We saw lots of good friends that we don't get to see too often.  And there were cookies!  Then we met up with Libby and Levi and Lexi at Chick Fil A.  The kids played, and we talked.  So good to catch up and spend some time together.  Then we headed downtown to the Macy's Christmas display on the 8th floor, a tradition in our family.  We ate goodies and shopped at the two story Target and just had a great day.  I love days like this because of the memories we make together and with our friends.   And it's nostalgic for me and Matt too since it was something we did as kids with our families and then dating and now with our kids.  Also we both worked downtown when we dated and even after we married, so it's fun to revisit every now and then.

Kids Stuff

Ava's class painted with pudding and some even got on the paper!

Then we had a Kids Christmas activity at church last night.  They played in the snow, decorated cookies, ate some delicious goodies, traded well-loved toys, and raced to see who could wrap a present the best and the quickest.  Pretty funny!

The Mythbusters

The Mythbusters were a hit!  Even though Jack wasn't feeling the best, they went.  And they were so glad they pushed through the bad weather and sickness to go.  Ava and I shopped, went to McDonald's, had some friends over.  The girls built a snowman!

Great Thanksgiving and Brent's birthday weekend last week!  We had lots of family time, and shopping, and celebrated Brent's birthday at Cossetta's.  Yum!  Best cupcake I ever had!  Starting off, here is Jack's school globe project.
