The kids love creepy crawlies at school.  Or at least they are oddly fascinated by them.  So yuck! Here's a snake they found that creeped me out.  

Happy birthday Auntie Heidi!

So fun having Heidi's birthday at our place this weekend since we couldn't be with her on the day.  And Oliver is 5 months old! Brent and Matt went hunting and got some ducks! And we had a day in Mankato at Jack's football game and lunch and then headed to Sibley Park, a cool place in Mankato with animals and beautiful flowers.  A great day!

Ava also got a new chair since she outgrew her pink recliner and some picket fence awnings in her room.  Yes, the room she doesn't use! But someday....maybe. And it's still fun!

Free stuff

I had no sooner said we need a trundle bed for Jack then we got a free one at a garage sale! So we painted it black to match his nightstand, and it fits his space better. And Ava is happy to still have a place in Jack's room.  She's kind of attached still! So this enabled us to move the queen bed to the extra guest room and have more space for guests! This will be helpful for family visiting or visiting families or missionaries since the two rooms are across the hall from each other and right next to the bathroom upstairs.  We also got a free cabinet pictured below to use as a coffee bar or more storage for guests.  Win win win win! AND I got a project!
