Happy anniversary and birthday to us!

We celebrated 14 years of marriage this past month and had a fun weekend away. And then we celebrated Matt's birthday at Famous Dave's with the family as well! Great restful, carefree time. We still choose each other!

Science and Art Fair

Every year, the kids at our school have to do a science or art project. This was the year for art; and if you know me, you know I am not artistic at all. But Matt ended up instructing Jack in woodworking, so he ended up with a beautiful shelf for his room. Ava painted some horses and had to be talked into putting them on the grass. Ha. But...they both won first place and were Grand Champions in their classes!! So we were pretty proud. Ava dropped one of the horses right before I took one of the pictures and broke its head off, so there may be some tears in one of them. I convinced her to smile by reminding her daddy can fix it!

End of 3rd Quarter

Both kids did well at the end of the 3rd quarter, and this is the first year Jack can be on the honor roll. So we were happy he made the A honor roll. I didn't get a picture of Ava's report card, but she got all S's! Almost done for the year!

Missions Conference 2017

We had a great missions conference this year with missionaries to Germany, India, Indonesia, Palau, and Japan. Even though a blizzard came through and forced us to cancel one service, it was such a blessing to us. We had two of the families stay with us, and they were very special to us. We really connect with them when they stay with us. One of the special families was the Fairchild to Indonesia. They stayed at our house; and after the service that night, Ava rode with Matt on the way home and asked some questions that led to her accepting Christ as her Savior! March 14, 2017. What a special time for our family. It is interesting that Jack also accepted Christ during a missions conference a few years ago at Berean Baptist Church. So now we all belong to the same family twice!
