Heading back

We are so thankful to Rod and Betty for the wonderful trip they gave us.  They are wonderful grandparents (and parents) and giving people and we love them so much.  They were also happy to take the kids which allowed Matt and me to have a few dates.   Here's some of our loot.  We had pins for our anniversary, pins from our two tours, the kids had pins from fighting with the Jedi and had Mickey weights from their balloons they got earlier in the week.  Lots of accomplishments!
It was hard leaving 80 degree weather with sun to go back to a snowstorm.  We couldn't even go home until the next day because the roads were so bad.  Reality checks can be brutal!  But it's all melted now and we are safe and sound.

Good bye, Room 2569.  It was a great week!

Day 7

Monday was fun because we went to Disney Springs and shopped and also got to see our family.  Carol, Larry, and Linda came to meet us for the day.  We love spending time with them, and we enjoyed eating at the T-Rex restaurant and getting ice cream from Ghirardelli.  The kids picked out toys, so they loved that!  Monday was also Matt's birthday so he got a cupcake at T-Rex and we gave him his gift which was a segway back trail adventure scheduled for Tuesday.

Day 6

Sunday we had a breakfast buffet at our resort and then went to the Animal Kingdom which we really enjoyed.  Matt and I love Expedition Everest which is a roller coaster that a yeti is terrorizing and he even breaks up the track so you have to stop and go backwards.  I scream so loud I hurt my throat every time.  Really fun!  We also saw some good shows and rode the safari ride which we love since we get to see lions and elephants and giraffes and all kinds of animals.  The kids also got their faces painted and played carnival games.  Then we went back to swim and had ice cream of course!

Day 5 and Pictures from several of the days

I tried to keep things organized, but with this many pictures and activities going on, it is confusing and with my phone being hard to work with, I'm lucky they are on here.  Matt may be doing the blog full-time after this! So some of these may seem random, but they are all from the trip at some point.

On Day 5 we went to Epcot which is around the corner from our hotel.  So nice being right next to it!  We ate at a French restaurant and learned a little French from our awesome waitress, ate one of my favorite meals and desserts on our trip, and saw some great shows and met Jasmine and Aladdin and Mulan!  We wanted to meet some characters we had never met before on this trip, and these were fun ones.  Ava told Mulan she was pwetty.  Jack asked Aladdin and Jasmine about Abu the monkey.  They all played along great with the kids, and it's really fun to watch. We hit a little rain on this day but it didn't last long.  And later that night, Matt and I came back for the light show.  It's fun being so close so you can swim and head right back to the park for the evening if you want.

Day 4 and More

Well we are back and have a lot to catch you up on!  Our trip, Easter, art and science fair projects - so let's dive in!

Day 4 we split up because Matt and I had a Keys to the Kingdom Tour at the Magic Kingdom which included lots of interesting information and we also got to jump in a couple of rides - the Jungle Cruise and the Haunted Mansion which were both pretty fun.  I added some pictures of the Main Street USA trolley show at the very bottom.  I have trouble doing the blog from my phone so the pictures just show up wherever I guess.  Sorry!
The kids and grandparents went to a fun breakfast with Minnie and Donald and Goofy and then hit the pool.  We all met up later for an Italian restaurant called Trattoria which was right across the lake from our resort at the Boardwalk.  And so delicious!  I almost licked my plate on lots of occasions this week!  One of my favorite parts of the Beach Club is the view of the lake and the Boardwalk across it.  You can take a boat over there or just walk the path around it.   And there's a lot to do over there, so it's nice to have that option.  Here are pictures of our arrival.  Start at the bottom and work your way up.  We ended almost every day with ice cream from Beaches and Cream Soda Shop pictured below.  It's dangerous being so close to it!

Here are some of the pictures from the Magic Kingdom trolley Street performers.  There's singing and dancing from old musicals and I just loved it.
