We had I think one of our easiest weeks ever for VBS this year. It felt almost effortless which is weird for VBS. Our decorations were borrowed so just went right up, our many workers happily volunteered and got involved right away, and the kids just jumped in and had a great time. We almost wondered if we should have done something differently since it felt so easy! But it was another great year with an average of 37 a night. Great lessons and fun crafts and lots of bouncing going on!

Duluth
We were able to take a day trip to Duluth and did a few fun family things together. We had been gone so much with school that it felt good to get away and do some fun touristy things. We shopped and ate out, took tours of the William A. Irvin ship and the Glensheen mansion which were very fascinating. It has been a long time since we have been to Duluth, and the kids were not old enough to remember. So it was new to them. I always think it's fun to get away and experience new things together.
More friends and Oliver
We always love seeing friends new and old. Wesley and Daisy are friends we don't see too often, but when we do, it's a blast! And I like my girl time with their mom Christina! And then there's Oliver, our nearest cousin/nephew! Here he is at two months. We hadn't seen him since he was born so it was fun seeing his progress. So fun having a new baby in the family!
Wow Time flies!
It is already July and hot! Summer is moving too quickly! We always schedule so many fun things so it seems to move too fast! Here are some things we have been doing. Our missionary friends, the Flincks to Chile, came for a weekend, and we had a great time with them and their four kids. It also happened to be the same weekend as Fairmont's Heritage Days which marked 4 years since we moved here. It was also our 100 degree weekend, so summer just jumped right in with the hot weather.
