Thanks to my parents buying Jack a cello and his awesome teacher working with us, he is starting cello lessons again! And his teacher wrote him out some music to "Jesus Loves Me" so he can play it in church! Looking forward to that!

School Stuff
Ava got to lead pledges in the school assembly the other day. She did a good job! They have both been line leaders so far (which is their favorite), and Jack has been student of the week! Here is his newsletter! There is a superhero theme this year which fits perfectly with him!
Silly Kittens
We have welcomed two new members of our family to our garage. We have high hopes they will keep the critters out, but so far, they're just cute. Shelly is tortoise-shell colored and Shadow is all black. They keep finding new places to sleep They are working out really well and are getting braver and so far, really friendly and playful!
Happy birthday, Auntie Heidi!
Jack was pretty excited to give her a little knitted moose he got at school from a volunteer who knits. She loves moose and woodland animals and anything hand made. We had a fun time being together and shopping Anoka the next day while the boys golfed.
The MN State Fair
When we moved away, I'm so glad we stayed in Minnesota and close enough to still go to the State Fair. And this year, we were blessed to go with Bethany, my niece, who is staying with my parents for a little while. So that was a blast going with her. Mostly lots of good food, but also just seeing some fun things, and buying a few. The pretzel dog may be a permanent fixture on our list for future years! Butter, white cheddar cheese and bacon drizzled all over a delicious pretzel with a hot dog inside. Yum! We had the best weather I think we've ever had. So it was a tiring and perfect day!
First Day of School
We now have a first grader and a fourth grader! We are still attending Grace in Mankato, and I am still working in the office with a little study hall overseeing and even substituting here and there! We are looking forward to a great year. So far, so good! It's a happy place to be, and the kids are meeting the academic challenges so far. The drive is beautiful, and lots of reading and chatting happens along the way.
