Gibbs Museum - Pioneer Village
We had a great time joining up with Woodcrest this past Monday for a fun field trip to the Gibbs Museum. The Gibbs were some of the first settlers in Minnesota. We got to tour a Soddy, their farmhouse, a one room schoolhouse, and make candles. Jack loves meeting up with his buddies, and they were very sweet and excited to see him. He also got to sit in on Grandma's class for a little while. She's such a great teacher. I think she taught all of us growing up and to think she would have had Jack too is really special.

Girls weekend!
I love any time I get to spend with my friends, and this girl has been such a good loyal friend to me. She is a rare find! Libby and I met around the time we both got pregnant with Jack and Lexi. We are compatible in our parenting and also our shopping! We literally shopped until we dropped! Although I was physically tired afterwards, I was inwardly refreshed. I can't wait until the next time!
Church goings on
We are excited about our church! Here is what has been going on. A few weeks ago, our family sang together for the first time. We sang "Keep Walking with The Lord", and I even the heard the kids singing along. So if we can gather more songs together, we may do it again.
We have started some special Sundays which began this past Sunday with Missions Day. We had our missionaries the Booths to Portugal in the services. We were also able to have them stay with us and really enjoyed that and getting to know them. Here is a men's group practicing that sang that day.
Here are the Booths and us with the Portugal flag.
Also Kids 4 Truth has started! We have changed a few things this year, and it seems to be going well. The kids are having a good time and learning at the same time so that's the goal.
The games are pretty fun to watch! Here they are racing back to their team's side and throwing bean bags to try to dislodge theirs from the top of the cone. Another thing we have started that we have really enjoyed is Pizza with the Pastor on Sunday nights once a month. We have had 3 of them, and it's been a great time getting together as always! Here is the most recent one.
Coming up - Family Day this next Sunday and a visit to Emma Krumbee's Apple Orchard!

Ava story
Matt and Jack went frisbee golfing while Ava and I stayed home. She was playing so happily, and I came out of my bedroom and scared her. She kept saying she didn't know anyone else was home. I find it very humorous that she wasn't scared about being home alone, just about being startled by me. And also a little alarming that she thinks we would leave her home alone. It makes me wonder what else is going on in her head. Hmmm. Maybe it's good I don't know.
Kidstuff
Co-op buddies Kinley, Hannah, and Ava. All age 4.
B is for balloon!
Jack drew this and they both colored it in. "We need more pink chalk," they said. Go Fairmont Cardinals!
Singing the "Wise Man Built". Ava picks this every service that we do favorites, so Matt started making the kids lead it. Here they are with their buddy Hannah.
