We met Matt at the zoo on Tuesday. He had golfed the week before and then had gone home to preach and work so we could all have fun. We were all pretty excited to see each other again! We had a great time at the zoo and then drove home together. It was a great trip and we got to do so many things. What a great way to celebrate the end of school! So happy to see the green grass and leaves and flowers on the trees! When we got home, my tree was waiting! So Matt (and Jack) planted it, and I love it. And it smells so good and fresh! It was a nice homecoming!

Trip IV - Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
Happy birthday to Grandpa Fure! I wish I would have taken a picture, but we celebrated at Pizza Ranch, one of his favorites. And also happy anniversary to Grandma and Grandpa. They are a godly example to us in their marriage. We love them so much, and it was fun to be together.
Lunch at Cossetta's and dessert! Wow! We had a mini chocolate covered cannoli with chocolate chip cream and some chocolate hazelnut gelato. I won't forget that any time soon. Delicious!
Sunday I was exhausted after the few days of driving around and visiting. It was fun but tired me out! I'm getting old! We went to church at Fourth Baptist Sunday morning with Brent and Heidi and had a great service and then went to Woodcrest Sunday night and got to see the family again and go out to Culver's with them and my good friend Sharron. I love those times.
Monday - Auntie Heidi took off work and used her museum pass to take us to the State Capitol and the Cathedral of St. Paul and then to eat at Cossetta's. It was pouring down rain, but we had the best time and I'm so glad we did it. The buildings are beautiful. I did take pictures there.

Trip III
Friday we had our car worked on and I wrangled my dad into garage saling with me since he picked us up and was stuck with us all day. Ha! I think he loved it! No I'm not too sure about that but he was a good sport, and we had a great time. And I got a cabinet for $1! (Pictured below) Amongst other fun household things. The kids like it too up until they get a few toys, and then they lose interest. Thanks, Dad! Love you!
Then Friday night we went to a carnival down the street from my parents house and saw Tonic Sol-Fa our favorite a Capella groups. Here's Jack and Ava getting into it.
Trip II
Then we had a special lunch at Chick Fil A with my lady friends from Berean. What a wonderful time of catching up with them! I love their wisdom and always ask lots of questions. They always help me! I wish I would have taken pictures.
And then of course our good friend Judy! We saw her on Thursday night for a very belated birthday dinner. (Hers is in March.) But we got to go to Yum! Kitchen and Bakery - one of our favorite places. The food was great and the company even better! And Judy who always does so much for us brought us treats. Jack is reading the new book "If You Give a Cat a Cupcake". We love those stories and we love her! Can't wait to see her in July when she visits.
Trip
With school being done, we took a longer trip home to the cities. We squeezed in so much fun and activity so I will post these in pieces.
We had great times with friends on Thursday. First we saw Daisy who gets Ava's clothes. I had to take a picture of her. She's so adorable! She wanted to try on everything. Could she be any cuter? And so fun for me to catch up with her mom! Love her!
Projects in Progress
I found a couple of old doors when I drove around looking for junk so Matt made me a table. I love it and will probably paint it at some point. Maybe coral?
I found the bench and chair that need some work and cushions and the two blue ottomans that stay outside. It's kind of fun and is starting to look like a living room! Also I got the two side tables at a garage sale. Definitely it all needs paint. Not sure when that will all happen but this is a great week for good weather! Work in progress. I have a few other pieces too that need some work. I can't believe how good it feels to be done with school and have time to do fun things like this! And a whole summer of it! Woohoo! I hope the weather stays good now.

Peter Pan
One thing the kids like to do is go through the bins I have of things I have saved from when they were smaller. I saved the Peter Pan costume because Jack loved it so much and wore it all of the time when he was 3 up until about 5 I think. It's a size 2-3. So they wanted Ava to try it on and it fit. It's fun seeing her in it and comparing it to Jack's picture in it.
