Kids 4 Truth

Kids 4 Truth ended last week with our awards program. Jack and Ava and several of the kids ended up with a gold pin for their standards (sashes) for finishing their books. The kids all did great and answered questions from the past year and sang songs. It was a great service. Then we had cookies and the store one more time before summer. Here they are singing about 10 verses of the Lord's Army. The kids are great and it was fun seeing all they had done this year.

School's Out!

We finished school on May 9th, and it's been a party ever since! We worked so hard to finish and it feels good to be done! Here's Jack doing a happy dance and some others from that last week.

Baptism Pictures

We recently got some pictures of Jack's baptism. I was in the back helping and so Bek took a video of it. So I'm glad I have that. And then a lady in our church took pictures for me. So here they are with skinned head and all!

Fairmont Junk

So Fairmont does this really cool thing in which you can put out all of your junk (furniture, appliances, tires, lumber, anything!) and have it picked up. The cool part is that before it gets picked up, you can drive around and "shop" in everyone else's junk. Hmm - just saying it "out loud" makes me sound like a weirdo. Ha. Yes, most of it is junk and some of the things I picked up are now sitting out on our curb! But I found a few projects - or things that I can maybe tweak to be useful or pretty. It's fun and free! And now that school is over, it will be nice to play! Stay tuned!

Mother's Day Weekend!

We ended up being able to meet our parents for a Mother's Day meal on Friday and had a great time! I'm so thankful for my Mom! God has truly blessed me with her. And to have a great mom-in-law too is an added blessing! Matt and I have both been blessed with wonderful parents, and we are more and more thankful for them every day.

Then Saturday Heidi and her niece Abby and Ava and I all went to the Barbie exhibit at the Mall of America. It was very fun to do with the girls and very pink! From Matt, Jack, and Ava, I received some cards, a few special meals, and also a spring snow crabapple tree that will be delivered this week! I can't wait to get it here and growing!

Random Doings

At the Youth Expo - the kids were allowed to try out the instruments.

We put this chair in their room and they were pretty excited. I think they are holding up Legos.

Fun meeting up with Libby and Lexi!

Jack finished his reading handbook. I don't think I have posted all of the books he has finished this year but there are quite a few along with some we will read in the summer.
